Dion van Velzen
I'm a director and editor, but with a twist. Thanks to a solid background in audio and music, I bring a distinct dynamic and rhythm to the projects I work on.
Over nine years in the industry, I've learned how crucial atmosphere is to make a message truly land and stick with the viewer. And the numbers don't lie: emotion is the key to engagement. That's why I don't believe in sacrificing form for function, or vice versa. Every element must contribute to the bigger picture, to that specific feeling we want to give the viewer. And I know exactly how to achieve that.

With a portfolio I'm proud of, I've also gained recognition. A highlight was the nomination for the Shortcutz Annual Awards in the "Best experimental film" category of 2022. Yet my greatest reward remains the audience's reaction to my work.
